Massive Dev Update 2022.2.18
We have big news as we close out this week of development on The 7th Seal! We are releasing a brand new alpha version (0.11.0) of the game along with our new Dashboard site.
This release ties the game to the blockchain (testnet for now) and allows you to create maps with the Cartographer within the game client, publish those to the blockchain, sign the transaction, and ultimately play on your maps as well as anyone else’s maps (single-player only for now).
Single-player games on these custom maps also will now calculate our first version of tokenomics so that we can start analyzing the data and making sure things are working as intended.
We will need everyone who is an alpha tester to help us scrutinize every aspect of the map-making process while we work on tokenomics in the background. It might be possible to have multiplayer tied to custom maps by the end of next week, so keep your fingers crossed for that.
To test all of these new features, you will need to sign up for an account through the game or dashboard, link your testnet wax account to it, and then seed some test tiles to your account. We will share some instructions for this on our discord alpha testing channel.
If you have signed up but have yet to receive your alpha key, we will be processing a bunch more applications so be patient and watch your inbox. If you haven’t signed up yet, feel free to do so here. Also, check your spam/junk folder in case it was banished there.
